Derrick Cohan is a New York born, Arizona raised cinematographer based out of Los Angeles. Derrick's obsession with movies began at a early age spending summers watching films with his movie-buff grandfather. In High School, Derrick wrote movie reviews for the school newspaper, played in rock bands, and dreamt about making movies for a living. Derrick went to ASU for Film & Media Studies and later attended the AMERICAN FILM INSTITUTE Conservatory where he earned an MFA in Cinematography.
Derrick has worked as a cinematographer and camera operator on narrative films, TV shows, music videos, commercials and documentary projects. He is always looking to collaborate and create lasting relationships with other artists and filmmakers.
